August 31st. To be exact.
Available on all digital download stores.
All on our record label- Stillbliss Records.
It`s called “Oshiri short”. Based off of the Japanese “Kaeru no uta”.
Chris Larke changed the lyrics to- Oshiri no uta.
Yes. I know. It`s a bit morbid in taste. But it`s funny nonetheless.
We hope you look forward to, and enjoy our new release.
All mixed and mastered here at Stillbliss.
Stay tuned for more insight into all things blissful.
Why am I writing about the Stilbliss method? Well, I thought I`d give you a history of our studios.
We have been producing artists for the past decade or so now. And just not ANY artist. we have had people come from Australia, new Zealand, the UK, Africa, the US, you name it!
So, this morning I`ve got some time on my hands, so I thought I`d blog about what`s been happening in these walls of ours.
Sometimes people are attracted to a certain sound, that they consider POP music. not saying that that is a bad thing. But sometimes getting a taste of the underground scene of music, can make you take a better take on music in general.
Yes. I know, we are all duped by the major companies like Universal, Disney, marvel etc. So in a sense, we have NO SENSES. And we just float off to whatever direction that the climate is taking us.
Not saying that is bad either. but honestly, you won`t get the heritage of the underground music scene without first having a taste of it.
Basically what I`m trying to imprint on your mind is, just that, The Stillbliss Method.
Of course there are major labels, that can get your album onto major distributors of Physical media, ie, LP and CD`s.
But sometimes, you need to look for music yourself. That is the fun in life. Finding a sound you never thought existed. Again, YOU are the final decision maker, whether you`ll put down your hard earned dollar for that song you hear on the radio or online, whether it be soundcloud, YouTube, etc.
I recently myself have been searching for new tunes. On Youtube, etc.
But the search is all part of the pop culture. Yes, LP`s are coming back.
Here in Japan, people still buy CD`s. Which is like a digital copy of an LP.
Anyways, what I want to say in a nutshell is this- Go look for yourself. Don`t let the big names in the industry decide what you can or cannot listen to.
Let your conscious be your guide. And remember to take in the day, just as it comes to you. Take the day. Make it yours!
Day before yesterday, I got an email asking me to mix three songs of Chris larke`s for a live recording of him playing in a bar, which he wanted to polish up for retail purposes.
So I added some warmth with a cakewalk plugin, and then he asked me to master them, so I did. And he paid me the proper price, and was pleased with the results.
I also recorded some drums for the band Slingshotmillion.
The drummer came from Atsugi all the way to Hashimoto. Brought his own double kick pedal, & then started to record.
we recorded three songs of theirs.
Overall, alot of fun was had these past few days of recording, mixing and mastering.
How do you start off a post when you have nothing to post about?
Well, how about, how I feel right now?
One of my clients who works on a US base hasn`t come over even though he booked for three times. He paid a cancel fee. But I hope he doesnt do that again.
As you can see dear reader, things arent always as peachy as they may seem.
Every time he said he`ll come, I came to the studio, got everything setup. But he tells me that the navy got in his way.
For some reason, this isnt the first black person`s weirdness.
Another black DJ namely DJ Ali. Said he was going to use our record label, and that he`ll pay me for my time making beats for him.
And EVERY single time, he either said that he didnt like what I did. Or said that he wont pay me for my tme.
As you can see. Studio life isnt all roses.
There are thorns as well.
Not giving up on this blog though.
It`s my dream to keep this studio up and running. But when these people- not naming black people only, but really, if you say you are coming over then dont change your mind.
Thank you. That`s it from me now.
FIVE stars. My fault?….Nope.
Stay blissed out peeps. Stay Stillbliss`ed
Here is the latest mix from our studios.
From none other than the infamous Chris Commander.
Since Christmas is almost upon us, let`s celebrate with cheer.
We give you- “O little town of Bethlehem”
This morning I awoke to a beautiful cloudless sky, with the sun shining. I just love sunny days here in Sagamihara.
Today I had the opportunity to work on Chris
s new version of O little town". You know. The one O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight.
After all, we will be having Christmas real soon coming upon us.
I bet he was planning the timing of this release, which will be released on our record label, Stillbliss Records.
I sent off the mastered 16 bit audio red book format so he can send it to all the major online retailers for your consumption.
Anyways, just for you geeks out there wondering what I am using for mastering, I used Ik Multimedia`s T-racks 3 standard, as well as the L2 by Waves. I used a Compressor, and clipper in T-Racks. then boosted a bit more in Sound forge with the L2.
Ok folks that
s whats bliss rite now. Hope you`re all enjoying this grand weather. I know I am.
Right now, I am sitting on the floor in my Bedroom/Office, that has my Internet operated Windows vista PC. Some people think Vista is good, or bad, either way, I care not. So yes! Sitting down and listening to itunes POP music. So what is POP culture? And how do I get into it? Well, hopefully this little rant, will do the trick. Ever heard of Jesus Christ? Well, he came as our saviour, out from Heaven. The `Supreme` being. And well, humans killed him. But honestly, being on earth CAN suck. If you are not working or have a job. It doesn`t really matter WHICH job. As long as you`ve got some form of income, you`ll learn how to cope with your budget. I`ve lived all around Japan, as a missionary`s kid. Homeschooled, learned guitar at the age of 11. Been to Guam twice. Been to Okinawa. And am wishing for more travels. As for now, all I can do is just blog. And hopefully YOU, the reader, will like what comes on this blog. We publish promote and help artists/musicians/bands, on their quest to make themselves heard. Ever heard of Jazz music? Well, look it up on Youtube. Or just do a Wikipedia search. But honestly all it is, is difficult to play on an instrument Genre of music. Blues, and POP/rock probably originated from this artform. Some people might think- “Man, if I ever lose all my money, I`ll be broke and be homeless!” True. to an extent. But honestly, what`s pop? Supreme? Human? It`s Family!! It`s pop culture, it`s: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and the internet, which really changed our view of the world. But honestly, what IS pop? I can`t decide that for you. As we all make our own imprint on this world. And in one word- THAT, is POP culture. Give your all to the world, friends, family and just enjoy the rest. Ok. Enough ranting. Time to take a short coffee break.
These past few days, I`ve been working on a new tune by none other than the infamous Chris Larke.
s called "The evil that men do" Its an Iron Maiden Cover song, thats well done, in an acoustic form.
The song was mixed through our boutique gear, and phattly mastered at Stillbliss, by yours truly.
The song will be available for purchase through all Major online digital formats. Through our label Stillbliss Records.
We had fun making it! We do hope you enjoy listening to it as well!
Ok! That`s about everything bliss right now.
Keep in touch and come back again for more blissful news!!
