So Chris From the UK, sent me some stems for mixing of his two songs that we have on our studio DAW.
They are both Comical, songs based around UK culture I guess?
He sent me two stems, one vocal, for “Chris Hansen” And one Drum Loop for “Brexit Wonderland”. I think its the other way around, but thats fine, we are just talking about two song”s stems, that were run through the BLA 173 And FMR AUDIO PBC6A.
Look forward to hearing these songs soon on digital download formats soon!
You gotta give it to him! He does look pretty fit? No?!
So, Skip Taylor came today.
He recorded vocals.
Bass, and brought over an mp3 to put into a track.
We worked on reworking vocals for a number called, “Breakfast Is A Sin”.
It was quite poppy!
We used the BLA 173, through the FMR audio PBC6A.
We used our ever so trusty AKGC214.
Here is the picture of Skip before the session. With our trusty microphone.
We hope you like our blog!
We hope you have a good ending to the year!
And we wish you all the best!
From our family to yours!
May it be a wonderful and blissful future!
So, Today we mastered a track for Chris, in the UK.
The song was called, “Hara Hetta”. Meaning, “I’m hungry”! In Japanese.
It was a short diddy, that has the same tune as a kids tune.
Chris has worked with kids for a while as a teacher. So, only understandable that he relates to kids as he does with his tunes.
Also very soon, “Stinky Little Poo” by none other than Mr. Clarkey Sings. Will be out on New years day!
Under our home grown label here in Japan, Kangawa Ken, Sagamihara shi- Stillbliss Records.
Stay tuned on this blog for more Blissful news!
Happy holidays! And Merry Christmas!
So, Today Al came from Shimo-kitazawa, to Sagamihara wood.
We worked on eight songs. We are finalizing a new album: Of course in there will be our personal favorite, “Joanne”, mastered At Metropolis Studios.
We have been working on this new album for a while now.
It is still not mastered, as in, ALL the trax.
But we are getting close to finalizing the album.
After we get the master from Metropolis studios, And Al, our singer gives the yes for the mastering, we will master the rest of the tracks here at Stillbliss.
Some of the tracks you might be familiar with if you bought-The dandy Lionz- Closer Album. We refined the trax and added new songs and the name is now (Audio Stone.)
Released soon on Stillbliss Records, on all online digital distribution sites ie; itunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google play etc.
Overall, a really fun time was had here at the studios today.
Cheers! And glad tidings to you and yours from all of us here at Stillbliss.
We just finished mastering Mr. Clarkey’s latest humorous track, that will be released on all Digital formats.
most likely by January 1st.
It is a funny little ditty.

Once it is released, we will officially let you know.
As for now, just be excited about it!
“Ah but it’s cold outside”!

So, we’ve been working with Chris from the UK now for more than a decade it seems. He always pays us for our work, and commends us for our quality.
Today we got an email from him asking us to replace some guitar parts for “Brexit Wonderland”. As the previous ones weren’t in sync with the drums, that were perfectly on time. As you can see, we also perform session work as well as recording, Mixing, and Mastering.
When it comes to mastering, we have only had good things said about our quality. We even had Rubella, a UK rock group who asked us to master one of their songs. They said they will use us again!
Anyways. “Stinky Little Poo” is a kids song that plays to the melody of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. And Chris, put some hilarious lyrics to it.
He asked us to add a Piano part that he did in his home studio in the UK.
For Brexit, we boosted the guitar track that as sent us. We ran it through our BLA 173 and PBC 6a combo. To fatten the sound. As well as making it mono. like we do almost all our stereo trax, that can become Mono.
Anyways, I think I gave all my secrets away here.
Oh yeah! We use Ik MultiMedia’s T-Racks 3 standard for Mastering. As we can afford it, and it is the most phattest sound on the digital market for mastering, that we have heard.
Last night we also finished mixing a single from Audio Stone’s new album that will be coming out soon. We wanted to add the extra magic that came with mastering from Metropolis Studios.
So, keep an eye out for “Joanne” a true love story by the dudes at Audio Stone, here in Japan.
We love you!
And wish all the best for this seasons greetings!
Happy Hanukkah from all of us at Stillbliss.
Thank you for faithfully coming back to this blog!
Yesterday we worked hard on two songs, that will be coming out tandem with other songs that were released in 2019. The previous album was under the artist name of The Dandy Lionz.
We wanted to give you a more secular ride.
So, We are reworking the final product for you!
Here is Al in the studios during recording of “Joanne” And “Pray of Peace” Vocals.
Overall we believe things are sounding great!
We hope you all are enjoying your holiday season with those you love!
Much love and holiday Cheer from us here at Stillbliss!
So yeah, yesterday, we had Al Arroyo over for some tracking of a song called “Joanne”.
We first layed down a rough guiding track with guitars and vocals, at the right BPM. Then we added bass, then Acoustic guitar, then used the four channels of Cinemag transformers for micing the kick snare and two overheads. then we used the BlA 173 with Edcore Transformers on the room mic. All using the same AKG C214. Which has been working like a champ!
We had our bands drummer drum for this song.
We also added some bongos and shaker.
Overall it was a fun day!
Sorry! Again, I forgot to take pictures of the session happening.
But by golly G I will try to make sure next time, and times after that to take pics.
Ok Beautiful people! Stay Blissed out. I’m going to perform a wedding in Tokyo. See you laterz!
Notes From Skip:
On Wednesday November 18, 2020, I took a train from Chiba-ken to Hashimoto and Stillbliss Studios. I had a rather ambitious agenda-to make progress on three very different projects, in one recording session. I have worked with Stillbliss on assorted projects for a number of years. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted-but less so than usual. I needed to hunt down several keyboard sounds, that can be very time-consuming. The first part of the project was a voice narration. I had written a script, the goal was to advertise myself for voice acting work. I wanted a version with just my voice, and one with musical accompaniment, more for entertainment purposes. Next was a keyboard part on one of my songs, which I started in 2018 but had stalled for various reasons. It did take some time to find the right sound but, Jesse was very helpful. The last part of the session involved recording vocals for a song that will be on the soundtrack of an independent film, in which I am also acting. The song is one that my character recorded `back in the day`. Once again Jesse was very helpful with this part and had some great input.
One of the things I really like about
Stillbliss is, that in the U.S. there is usually a very set division between
recording engineer and producer. There are reasons for this, especially in a
big-budget production. But Jesse is totally okay about giving advice, feedback
and offering solutions that may not be immediately obvious. That really helps
for getting things done on time-and on budget.
I`m looking forward to my next visit and the next phase of my recordings. Thanks Jesse!
The other day, Skip Taylor came out to the country side, here at Stillbliss.
He recorded some piano parts, as well as some voice over demo work for possible voice over opportunities.
He also added vocals for a song called “Breakfast Is The Sin”. Which is a dance pop number from a producer in Switzerland. We layed vocals over the backing track from the producer using the AKG C214. And Skip commented that, “The mic worked like a champ!”
Thank you Skip! We always like positive reviews from our dear clients.
Best of luck dear Skip! We wish you the best!
This morning I woke up to an email from Chris Larke in the UK for some mixing work.
He sent us the STEM’s for a new number we’re working on. And we boosted the levels using the Black Lion Audio BLA 173 and FMR Audio PBC 6a. Overall the past few days were a class A typa day’s.
Thanks dear Chris And Skip!
…You are what keep us alive and kicking!
